Beyond providing a complimentary mix of high-quality audio, video and MI products, our strengths lie in our abilities to identify the most viable sales network for a vendor’s products, maintain a consistent, smooth flow of sales and facilitate a constant, accessible stream of communication between all parties. We are the manufacturer’s eyes and ears and the dealer’s instant source for supply and information. We accomplish this with a regular rotation of personal visits, telephone contact, email and social media presence. We also support our dealer network with a small on-hand supply of critical products for emergencies as well as a healthy inventory of current product samples.
We administer to a network of over 1500 retail dealers, sound contractors, A/V houses, touring sound companies and consultants in our territory, many whom we have been doing business with for 30 years or more. Our staff takes the time to know our vendor’s products and promote them with sales calls, training sessions and infield site visits with our customers and many times, theirs as well. We attend all the major national and regional industry trade shows to help further expose our product lines to our local market. Our 1800 square foot showroom in Harvard, MA. is available to visit by appointment, and all field personnel are reachable via cell phone, text and email.

David has been representing pro audio and lighting products since 1978 and founded The D.L. Henderson Company in 1991. His prior experience comes from being a musician and sound engineer. He is involved in all aspects of the business with emphasis on high-end recording, home theater, installed sound, audio for video, touring and lighting. David is the recipient of numerous personal achievement awards for service to the industry. A member of NAMM and NSCA, he also serves on various rep councils for our vendors providing valuable feedback from his years of experience. In his leisure time, David enjoys playing and coaching youth soccer, skiing and snowboarding, golf, tennis, playing percussion and gardening. He lives in Harvard, MA, with his wife and two children.
Regional Sales Representative
Peter is an industry veteran in New England with close to 30 years of experience in retail MI, recording, systems contracting and video. He spent 20 years at the legendary LaSalle Music in West Hartford as chief pro audio salesman and in the 1990s co-owned Audio Video Research, an influential pro audio dealership located in both Boston and CT. Most recently, he headed the Installation Division of Gordon/LaSalle Music in CT. He covers CT, RI and southern NY section of our territory. Peter lives in Broadbrook, CT with his wife and enjoys exotic automobiles, the occasional Harley ride and playing guitar.
Regional Sales Representative
Starting when he was in the 6th grade, John picked up the trumpet and his dedication and passion for music has grown every day since. After graduating from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford in 2005, John has worked in the industry in a number of capacities. He was a salesman at Guitar Center Boston, a regional manager of a record label and promotion company, has booked national tours, played countless gigs (now mainly on bass and guitar), and for 6 years was the A/V equipment manager for Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Arts, an audio/film/photo trade school. John joined the Henderson Company in 2014 as the administrative manager and quickly moved into outside sales, bringing in new clients and offering exceptional customer service. He lives in Waltham MA in a house made of record crates, blown vacuum tubes, and repurposed Space Echoes.
Regional Sales Representative
Known as ‘Zipper’, to all his friends, family, and associates, started in the music industry at 19 years old. What began with touring the east coast as a guitar-tech with a variety of rock bands, continued with 23 years of live sound production, with a specialty in monitor mixing, and managing the sales department of a regional pro audio and theatrical lighting company. When Zipper is not busy calling on clients of The Henderson Company, you can catch him doing production work for national touring acts. Zipper enjoys drag racing his 72′ GTO and spending time with his family. He lives in Rochester, NY and covers the Western New York area.
Jon began his professional career in music retail as a manager of three Guitar Center locations. Jon plays several musical instruments, and has played in a variety of bands in the New England area. In 2012, Jon joined the Boston and touring casts of internationally renowned theater company ‘Blue Man Group’, playing unusual instruments like the Chapman Stick and Electric Zither, bringing his unique style and musical prowess to audiences around the world. When Jon is not busy helping the clients of The Henderson Company by day, or backing up the Blue Man by night, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
