The D.L. Henderson Company Inc. is not just a sales agent for the vendor, or a sales rep to the dealer. It is the catalyst in a partnership between manufacturer and reseller that enables everyone to maximize their sales potential with the highest amount of efficiency.
Beyond just providing a complementary mix of high-quality audio and lighting products, our strengths lie in our abilities to identify the most viable sales network for a vendor's products, maintain a consistent, smooth flow of sales and facilitate a constant, accessible stream of communication between all parties. We are the manufacturer's eyes and ears and the dealer's instant source for supply and information. We accomplish this with a regular rotation of personal visits, telephone contact, email and mailings. We also support our dealer network with a small on-hand supply of critical products for emergencies.
We administer to a network of over 1500 retail dealers, sound contractors, A/V houses, touring sound companies and consultants in our territory, many whom we have been doing business with for 20 years or more. Our staff takes the time to know our vendor's products and promote them with sales calls and training sessions to the dealers, and we attend all the major industry trade shows to help further expose them to our market. Our 1500 square foot office in Maynard, MA. is staffed daily and all field personnel are reachable via cell phone.

David Henderson, President.
David has been representing pro audio and lighting products since 1978 and founded The D.L. Henderson Company in 1991. His prior experience comes from being a musician and sound engineer.
He is involved in all aspects of the business with emphasis on high-end recording, home theater, installed sound, audio for video, touring and lighting. David is the recipient of numerous personal achievement awards for service to the industry. A member of NAMM and NSCA, he also serves on various rep councils for our vendors providing valuable feedback from his years of experience.
In his leisure time, David enjoys playing and coaching youth soccer, skiing and snowboarding, golf, tennis, playing percussion and gardening. He lives in Harvard, MA, with his wife and two children.
Fred Renz, Sales Manager.
Fred joined The Henderson Company in 1992, before that he was a store manager for Daddy's Junky Music Stores in several of their New England locations during his six-year tenure. A recipient of numerous awards, Fred has earned a solid reputation in the retail market. A guitarist since age 8, he spent many years in the metro NY club/college circuit and later in several NY studios, doing session work. He has performed live with a number of notable artists.
Fred's primary focus has been the retail sector of the market but he visits both dealer and contractor locations regularly to conduct sales/product training of store and install personnel. Fred also attends many dealer-sponsored events on behalf of our manufacturers.
Fred and his wife live in Exeter, NH and in his free time he enjoys riding his Harleys, playing guitar and traveling the USA and Europe in search of the perfect pint of ale.
Peter Solak , Regional Sales Representative
Peter is an industry veteran in New England with close to 30 years of experience in retail MI, recording, systems contracting and video. He spent 20 years at the legendary LaSalle Music in West Hartford as chief pro audio salesman and in the 1990s co-owned Audio Video Research, an influential pro audio dealership located in both Boston and CT. Most recently, he headed the Installation Division of Gordon/LaSalle Music in CT. He covers CT, RI and southern NY section of our territory. Peter lives in Broadbrook, CT with his wife and enjoys exotic automobiles, the occasional Harley ride and playing guitar.
Tammy Smith, Customer Support Administrator.Tammy joined our company in August 2006 and has assisted from day one in getting the office more organized and efficient. She comes from a solid background in sales and sales support in the electronics and telecommunications industries. Tammy enjoys all things Celtic and medieval and in her spare time she enjoys travel, singing, playing piano and spending time with her daughter.
